This past fall was our biggest VAWP meeting yet with over 180 attendants including speakers! We also held our meeting at a new venue, the Virginia Crossings Hotel, which was a success!

Our 2024 Fall Meeting focused on regulatory updates on both a state and federal level, as well as an update on the proposed threatened status of the tricolored bat. There was also an update on the beneficial use of dredge material and hydric soils identification, Virginia’s new pay-for-outcomes nonpoint source pollution reduction program, and research on methods to reduce plant invasion in mitigation sites. These biannual VAWP meetings are a great opportunity to network and keep up with fellow wetland professionals, friends, and regulators.
