Student Research Scholarship

Spring 2025

VAWP is pleased to announce that we are accepting scholarship applications from undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Virginia institutions. Through this award, VAWP will provide a $1,000 scholarship to an outstanding student pursuing research focused on wetland science, natural resources, or related environmental science fields. The student’s research should demonstrate a specific interest in advancing the mission and ideals of the VAWP. Scholarships will be paid directly to the selected applicant. Poster session abstracts are due on May 2, 2025. Scholarship applications are due on May 15, 2025. Note VAWP will provide additional information on how to submit applications in the coming weeks. If you have any questions, please contact Eli Wright (ewright@w3env.com).

In keeping with VAWP’s mission of research and education, the recipients of this award provide a commitment to present their findings of your research at a future VAWP event. We look forward to hearing more about these projects in the future!
